Police are investigating a shooting in Canberra's inner south but say there's no immediate threat to public safety.
A woman's been shot while in her car on Dominion Circuit in Forrest, with the male shooter then fleeing in a silver/blue two door hatchback.
The woman suffered gunshot and shrapnel wounds and drove herself to Manuka Oval where she called for help, before being transported to hospital.
The shooter is described as Caucasian in appearance and is believed to have been driving with a Caucasian passenger.
Anyone with CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area at around 8 o'clock this morning is being urged to contact police.
