ACT Government to freeze public transport fees

Category: Capital Radio News

The ACT Government has announced it will freeze public transport costs this year as the capital recovers from coronavirus.

Fares will forego their yearly increase despite almost 700 new bus services and more regular light rail trips being set to come into effect from July 18.

This follows the Government's plan to stall a number of other fees, including those for land titles, marriage registration, and birth certificates.
